Isaac Kardon

Isaac B. Kardon is an Assistant Professor at the U.S. Naval War College, where he is a core member of the China Maritime Studies Institute. Dr. Kardon’s primary areas of study and specialization are Chinese politics and law, with research and writing focused on maritime disputes, Chinese foreign policy, maritime security in the Indo-Pacific, and the law of the sea. Dr. Kardon earned a PhD in government from Cornell University, an MPhil in modern Chinese studies from Oxford University (St. Antony’s College), and a BA in history from Dartmouth College. He speaks, reads, and writes Italian, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese.
